On 25 February 2019, QaMPS in collaboration with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Department of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) organized a Workshop on Radiation Protection for Radiographers and Technologists. Th event took place at Bayt Al Dhiyafah, Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.

The goal of this workshop was to enhance radiology workers' knowledge on radiation protection. Topics include: Basic rules, protective equipment, personal monitoring, workplace monitoring, special practices (pregnant patients and pediatric patients), optimization of protection in computed tomography.

Dr. Afkar Al Farsi, was the invited speaker from Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

Almost 60 participants (radiologists and technicians attended the workshop.
