As part of the QaMPS celebration of the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2022, Qatar Medical Physics Society (QaMPS) in collaboration with Hamad Medial Corporation (HMC) organized a workshop on radiation protection, which was held on 06 November 2022 at Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
The aim of this workshop was to improve awareness of the radiation workers in radiation protection, and to assess their impact on the education of Clinical Imaging staff in improving patient safety by reducing the radiation dose , while maintaining diagnostic image quality. This approach has become an important skill in diagnostic radiology.
The workshop was attended by 60 participants ( radiologists, technologists and nurses). The keynote speaker in this workshop was Expert medical physicists from QaMPS.
