Dr. Shady AlKhazzam, Medical Physicists is a member of the Qatar Medical Physics Society (QaMPS) as well as the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) since 2019.

As a result for his successful teamwork with Dr. Ioannis Tsalafoutas and other Physicists in Hamad Medical Corporation, Dr. Shady was selected to serve as a member of the special AAPM task group TG368, about “Methodology for Establishing Exam-Specific Target Exposure Indices in General Radiography”. This task group is charged with summarizing current vendor implementations of the IEC exposure index and establishing a methodology for determining and implementing exam-specific exposure index target values.
